Princess Beatrice ugly hat story has happy ending?

[May 12]

USA Today is reporting that Princess Beatrice wedding hat for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton looked like antlers. Not a good fashion critique if you are a young princess who is an up and coming royal family member and very much so still single. However, there is a story behind the hat of red carpet fashion disasters that tells a tale of luxury and decadence while ending up with a happy ending not here yet. We have to wait on all the eBay bids, because Princess Beatrice took a celebrity fashion tip from Hollywood’s favorite Armenian-American pseudo pop culture icon princess Kim Kardashian. She wore the expensive hat, got the pics, and by God now she’s selling that one of a kind fashion faux pas on eBay for the benefit of charity, Yes, that’s right. The horny hat is headed for a glass case or to mount over a mantle rather than to make another celebrity red carpet appearance on some other poor confused person’s head. Princess Beatrice is selling her Royal Wedding hat as a keepsake — and will be donating the proceeds to charity (we know to be a few of her favorites as a green celebrity humanitarian).

Regarding the history of Princess Beatrice and the horrible hat, USA Today published the following news account on May 12, 2011. They write: :

The famous creation — which some said looked like antlers — will be sold on eBay with the proceeds to go to the charities UNICEF and Children in Crisis.

The hat was the handiwork of Britain’s leading milliner, Philip Treacy, who designed many of the ladies’ hats worn at the April 29 nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The best part of the ugly hat story?

That as silly as it was and as offensive as it possibly could have been to the Queen of England herself, the rest of the world seems to have overlooked that Princess Beatrice — possibly angry her famous disgraced mother Sarah Ferguson was uninvited to the Royal Wedding and trying in her own small passive aggressive way to show her displeasure off publicly — was what many American’s and non-royal fans from across Europe and the United States thought was just plain comedy.

USA Today further shared, “The unusual design of the beige hat has sparked a Facebook fan page called “Princess Beatrice’s ridiculous Royal Wedding hat,” and one computer-altered picture showed President Barack Obama and his national security team all wearing the hat as they watched the commando raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan.”
