DWTS 2011 Results SHOCKER!

Chelsea Kane lost Dancing With The Stars even with Disney fan support?

[May 24 — Twitter TV Audience Crowd Reaction Quotes]

In a huge upset, Disney Princess Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas wound up in third place on the 2011 season of Dancing with the Stars [DWTS Season 12]. The pair had an incredible run and were favored to win the competition, though Hines Ward and Kirstie Alley both were incredible competition. Ballas and Kane, being one of the youngest pairs of competitors on the dance floor all season, had some of the most energetic and acrobatic routines. From their jive, which Len Goodman criticized as not having enough jive quality, to their samba, with Chelsea Kane sporting an orange spangled ensemble, Team Kanenball took youth and energy to the floor all night long. That they lost to Hines Ward and Kirstie Alley is surprising, since they chose for their final dance the Harry Potter Waltz for a second time, which easily was one of their signature dances during the competition. They got all tens from the judges, a perfect score, but the voting audience was not as confident. Ultimately, Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson won the competition, with Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy coming in second place. All three pairs of competitors earned perfect scores from the judges, but the audience hearts and minds (along with judges votes) went to Hines and Kym.

CROWD REACTION QUOTES FROM TWITTER

Reactions on Twitter were swift for Team Kanenball. “What a bummer!! @ChelseaKane really deserved to win. But she is such a class act. #TeamKanenBall always!” sums up the sentiment regarding the loss of Mark Ballas and Chelsea Kane on Dancing with the Stars. On Twitter user noted that the other pairs of dancers aren’t even trending like Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, even though the couple came in third place.

Clearly there is a lot of audience love out there for Team Kanenball. How they managed to lose is up for debate. Maybe Tom Bergeron jinxed the dance floor for them. Mark Ballas did have a slip up early on, and there was some criticism over the jive by Len Goodman. Nevertheless, the star celebs pushed on and perfromed remarkably.
