Memorial Day Parade!

Hollywood star celebs come out to shine in patriotic Washington, DC event?

[May 28]

Go Hollywood! The National Memorial Day Parade is making big headline news again this year as a cast of All-Star celebrities make the pledge to support our troops by participating in it. The parade is an annual event held in Washington, DC to help wrap up Memorial Day Weekend. The National Memorial Day Parade is held each year on Memorial Day Monday to honor citizens of the country who were and are veterans. The people who live in or are visiting the nation’s capital Washington DC take great pride in celebrating fallen heroes and those brave men and women who have served the United States in the military. Washington, DC takes on a festival atmosphere over Memorial Day Weekend each year during the National Memorial Day Parade, with parade floats and marching bands heading down well-known DC streets like Constitution Avenue. People looking for more information about local parades around the country should contact their local Veterans Center. Military service, the Memorial of American Veterans, and patriotism are themes for the weekend. Parade floats and costumes almost always follow a red, white, and blue all American theme for colors, and you will see many people who come to watch the parade proceed down the route and hang out for the music festival after it will be dressed in similar red, white, and blue attire and waving American flags.  Washington, DC special events embody the American tradition of celebrating our melting pot culture and the willingness of citizens to help others live free around the world. While it all might be grand and glorious hype, the Parade reminds Americans about the sacrifice soldiers and their families have made over the years based on the notion they were helping to protect and advance human freedom.
