Celebrity Homes!

Jennifer Aniston has no buyers yet for celebrity home?

[Jun. 25]

Actress Jennifer Aniston has lived in a mansion she calls OHANA for years. Anyone who has ever seen the Lilo And Stitch movie by Walt Disney Pictures knows that Ohana means family — and that is exactly who Aniston invited as guests to share her luxury home with regularity. After her divorce from Brad Pitt and a number of very public breakups with Hollywood bachelors like musician John Mayer and actor Vince Vaughn, Aniston elected to remodel her celebrity home by removing the HIS AND HERS bathroom features, replacing Brad’s vanity area with a relaxing spa. In 2011, news broke on the celebrity gossip scene that Jennifer Aniston, presumably tired of the high upkeep and maintenance bills for a large home as a single woman, was planning to sell Ohana to the highest bidder. Was there truth to the rumor Jennifer Aniston was selling her celebrity home — and if so, was Jennifer Aniston able to quickly sell her house in a tough real estate market and economic recession? The answer is yes — and no one is quite sure, respectively.

On March 3rd, the real estate blog CURBED posted the following reprint of the press announcement made by Coldwell Banker Real Estate that they has in fact procured the luxury home listing. The press release about Jennifer Aniston’s hose being for sale included photos of the luxury home you can see here. In the text, as you can read below, the company really touts the fact that the homeowner is a celebrity and used the Hollywood folklore about the owner and residents to inspire people who are not part of the Hollywood social scene but want to be included in owning a piece of history.

The Press Release that Jennifer Aniston selling her celebrity home excerpts read as follows. To date, there is no confromation she has been able to sell the celebrity home, so if you are buying, this is what you can get for the low, low price of $42 million:

COLDWELL BANKER PREVIEWS INTERNATIONAL AND JADE MILLS ANNOUNCES THAT THE BEVERLY HILLS ARCHITECTURAL MASTERPIECE ESTATE RESTORED BY HOLLYWOOD ICON JENNIFER ANISTON WILL BE INTRODUCED TO THE MARKET AT $42 MILLION

Unparalleled Hal Levitt “Ohana” Estate Offers Rare Oasis of Asian and Balinese-Inspired Tranquility in the Heart of Los Angeles with Commanding 180 Degree Views.

Coldwell Banker Previews International announces that the unmatched Beverly Hills residence created by renowned mid-century modern architect Hal Levitt and meticulously restored and redesigned under the direction of Hollywood’s leading lady Jennifer Aniston will be introduced to the market at $42 Million by Estates Director Jade Mills. The rare property, which offers the ultimate urban sanctuary in the middle of LA’s most desirable neighborhood, is located in the highly sought-after Beverly Hills real estate vicinity of Trousdale Estates. The property offers the best of both worlds: an inviting home designed for entertaining, embodying the Hawaiian concept of extended family known as “Ohana,” combined with the peacefulness of an island retreat. The water features, which include a pool, spa, ponds, and fountains, flow gracefully throughout the property and cultivate an atmosphere of relaxation and rejuvenation. Reached via a long gated drive, the estate offers the ultimate in privacy and security, as well as the feeling of being transported a world away from Hollywood.

Despite the fact that many celebrities buy and sell homes in secret, it really looks like there has been no real activity on the Ohana mansion to date. Not only have there been no celebs buying, there are no celebs buying that are hiding behind the protection of LLC company names, either.

Fox News got the inside scoop about how and why star celebs might want to invest using a false name if they are interested in buying Jennifer Aniston’s house.. “It’s so easy to pull up public records with the Internet — a LLC is just an added protection,” said luxury real estate agent Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker, who currently holds the listing for Jennifer Aniston’s custom Beverly Hills home “Ohana.”

While Aniston recently bought a new property in New York City under the LLC name Norman’s Nest Trust, it looks like she is still the owner of record for the time being of her posh diggs in Cali. That is, until someone buys the place where they, too can take a 3 minute shower in the same place the self-proclaimed eco-friendly celebrity does right now when she is in residence or passing by her own home between NYC and visits to Mexico beaches.
