The Bachelorette star Ashley H is a pet friendly celebrity. Having made it to third place as a contestant on the season with Brad Womack V2, she impressed the show producers so much (for whatever reason) that they cast her as the new Bachelorette. After many twists and turns in the emotional nature of the fickle reality television star, she finally settled on JP. The two got engaged on a beach in Fiji — but is she really happy?
JP is a Jewish construction project manager from New York City. He beat out Ben F — a wine maker who is employed in a variety of jobs in California. Ashley H is finishing dental school and has been preparing to be a dentist. Her income alone will be enough to fund a happy home life for two even if she has a stay home hubby.
JP, while being a sweetheart of the first order, was the more financially and emotionally stable of the two men Ashley H brought with her around the world over the course of her dating season.
Ben F was (rightfully) angered that he actually proposed to Ashley on camera and she turned him down completely. If there had been any question about her feelings for him, fans think he should have been let go before the final rose ceremony and not forced to endure the public humiliation.

Ashley and JP are both east coast residents and she plans to leave Pennsylvania to come share an apartment with him in New York once she graduates. JP is openly affectionate with her and responds to media criticism of his future bride protectively.
His character — as one who is man enough to both support and nurture Ashley as she matures — is probably the reason she dumped Ben and decided to marry JP. The very real fact that a commute to see her family on the East Coast will be much easier from New York to Philly by train than a day long plane trip to Cali was also likely to be a deciding factor.
The sad fact that Ashley’s sister thinks she was essentially selling out her own desire for travel and a bohemian lifestyle to settle down and marry JP was very revealing about the hopes and dreams of this dog lover. Let’s hope JP is also as pet friendly as Ben F — because if he is, we’re fairly sure that Ashley H will finally be happy.
