Justin Bieber Christian fans praying for his family after car accident?

Nothing inspires people to ask for favors from God faster than the news that one of their close personal friends of beloved family members has been injured in a car accident. This time around, it was Justin Bieber who was on the receiving end of a call that his Canadian grandparents had been involved in a tragic — but fortunately not fatal — car accident. Their car apparently ran off the road, flipped, hit a tree, then turned back over. Were they saved by the hand of God? Fans who are real Beliebers think yes.

Justin Bieber is a ChristianIf anyone deserved to have a relaxing Christmas holiday after a year of rising stardom, charitable giving, humanitarian work, and all around niceness, young pop music singer Justin Bieber deserved it. But even though he clearly made Santa’s nice list, the Biebs suffered a personal tragedy shortly after Christmas Day. Several sources reported that Bieber’s grandparents were involved in a major car accident, and Gossip Cop has confirmed the story. Now, all his Christian friends, fans, and family are praying for them.

Gossip Cop reported that Justin Bieber’s mom, Patti Mallette, spread the word on Twitter about the accident. She said his grandparents flipped the car and landed in a ditch just two days after Christmas, totaling the vehicle. Bieber’s grandfather suffered broken ribs and his grandmother suffered a broken finger, but otherwise the pair were listed in fair condition, Bieber’s mom said. There is no word on the cause of the accident, but Bieber’s mom asked fans to pray for Justin and the rest of the family.

Justin Bieber is a devout Christian. The accident is reported to have occurred just outside of Stratford, Ontario, Bieber’s hometown claims the Inquisitor. But confirming the rumor was easy, as a tweet requesting prayers was actually shared by his mother. Patti Mallette tweeted:

“My parents got into a car accident today. They flipped into a ditch & totaled the car but thank God they are alive! My dad has broken ribs. Plz pray 4 him 4 quick healing! Count your blessings & forgive ur parents always. U never know what tomorrow holds!!! (sic).”

Neither Justin Bieber nor his personal reps have said anything publicly about the accident, but it’s not unlike the Biebs to keep personal affairs private for long.

Just earlier this year, when accused by a fan of fathering her 3-month-old child, Justin kept largely silent, saying only that he would take a paternity test if necessary and otherwise had “never met that woman [Mariah Yeater].” Fans who prayed her lies and media manipulations would be exposed seemed to get their wish as prayers were answered that she drop the lawsuit after he agreed to take a paternity test.

Justin Bieber (who just made it to the top of the list as a humanitarian celeb) spoke out eventually, but still had little to say about why a woman would be so evil other than to chalk it up as part of the life he leads. He did the best he could, trying to turn every interview about the baby daddy drama into an opportunity to give a free plug to his Christmas album (one that was made to benefit a variety of food bank charities).

ABC quoted Bieber as a young celebrity willing to turn the other cheek proverbially (as they say), sharing his comment:

“As far as the whole baby situation, it’s unfortunate that it had to happen like that. That people make false accusations, but things happen in this industry and you just have to keep your head high and be positive and that’s all I really have to say.”

Justin Bieber lived with his grandparents for a time when he was younger and he and his mother were struggling, a fact that he highlighted in Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which was released in theaters earlier this year. So it stands to reason they remain close to his heart and the star celeb likely is praying for their quick recovery and otherwise wanting to simply move on. What a champ!

Maybe all the drama this year will prompt Bieber to start another round of humanitarian and green celebrity work, like he’s done with MyCharity: Water and with some of the proceeds from his latest album, Under the Mistletoe. Justin also supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Red Cross, and Pencils of Promise.

Right now, the Biebs is more interested in relaxing and watching NBA, if there’s any truth to his recent tweets.

Having worked so hard this year and making it to the number two spot on the list of 2011’s most charitable celebrities, we can understand why he’d want to relax accept prayers for their recovery and his emotional healing from the shock of the incident quietly instead of fielding rumor mills questions about his family.
