Alas, another green celebrity couple has decided to break up. Project Runway star and supermodel Heidi Klum and her singer husband Seal have officially confirmed their decision to split up. The star celebs have four children they are both committed to co-parenting effectively together in the future. But what happened to these charitable humanitarians that caused the rift? The answer to that question seems to be their careers — which routinely split them apart by great distances. Heidi Klum and Seal have decided to separate. Gossip Cop and Hollywood Life both confirmed the celebrity split. Rumors the relationship tanked first broke on TMZ then spread virally until they were picked up as true gossip by People magazine. Inside sources had claimed the beautiful pair had been struggling with their relationship for quite some time as her work schedule and his world tour frequently placed them at opposite ends of the globe. However, as of last week no one in either of the star’s families seemed to know there was trouble in paradise for the famous two. While the couple posted a lovely picture of themselves on a ski vacation together over the 2011 Christmas holidays, apparently the family retreat was not long enough to help the talented singer and the sexy supermodel get their romance back on track. Of great concern is what will happen to their four children (Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou) — and, of course on a shallower note, to their celebrity love quotes tattoos.
Gossip Cop is sharing the Hollywood couple’s joint statement about the causes of the split and what the stars are doing to help their children deal with the news their parents no longer will be a married couple. On Monday January 23rd of 2012, they shared:
In a statement furnished to Gossip Cop, the couple says, “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.”
“We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart,” the statement notes, adding, “This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.”
They conclude, “We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
As for why we think both the green celebrities are remarkable both as independent individuals and were so well-loved as a celebrity couple, the work they do for charity is admirable.
Heidi Klum is a famous humanitarian known for being a Victoria’s Secret Angel and Supermodel. She has volunteered for many charities over the years including the Red Cross, Stand Up To Cancer, and UNICEF. Some of her favorite causes include raising money to help fight cancer, helping orphans, and supporting women challenged with poverty, human rights issues, and advocating for those with mental handicaps. Nowadays, while she still models regularly and even pics up an acting gig occasionally, she keeps busy hosting both the American and German versions of the hit fashion designer reality show Project Runway. She also routinely donates clothing to a variety of charities that are typically sold at auction.
Seal is the singer who got famous for singing the Batman movie tune “Kiss From A Rose”. His haunting voice and powerful song melodies made him an international pop music celebrity. While he’s not as famous in the modeling as his wife Heidi Klum, he is regularly a topic of conversation because of his facial scarring. As a green celebrity, Seal (the singer) has embraced causes like preventing and curing AIDS, helping sick and impoverished children, offering humanitarian aid in disaster relief situations, promoting human rights causes, and has been a stalwart advocate for promoting both health and fitness education.
Because Seal essentially adopted their oldest child (who was fathered biologically by an ex love interest of Heidi), he cause our attention years ago.
