Pet friendly actress Mary Tyler Moore won SAG Lifetime Achievement Award

While living the life of a successful career girl, Mary Tyler Moore never forgot the importance of using her star power wisely. She advocated throughout her entire career to help causes for those suffering from or at risk of developing diabetes. She also worked her tail off, allowing animal rights activists to note that her tale of saving tails was truly inspiring. Some of her favorite charities and causes to volunteer for and donate to over the years have included Broadway Barks (a pet friendly charity she co-founded as a non-profit organization with actress Bernadette Peters) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. While other star celebs were making headlines for their men’s designer fashions and couture ball gowns the ladies were wearing, actress Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green were making headlines in mainstream media entertainment news over the weekend for something else entirely. If they were on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, there are no celebrity photos to show. While she may be in talks to play actress Elizabeth Taylor in a new biopic and is in the new commercial for the 2012 Oscars with Billy Crystal, this year fans did not get to see her at either the Critics Choice Awards that happened last week. Leonardo DiCaprio happy at Critics Choice, bored at Golden Globe Awards?

Famous actor and green celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio was on hand for the Critics Choice Awards on Thursday [broadcast on VH1]. He was also there for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in 2012 on Sunday January 15th. The noted environmentalist and humanitarian, DiCaprio won a Golden Globe award in the past for his performance in The Aviator (2004), though he is perhaps better known for his performances in The Titanic (1997) and Romeo and Juliet (1996).
