PETA mad Toto from The Wizard of Oz might be state dog of Kansas?

PETA (the non-profit organization that crusades for animal rights) is opposed to Kansas making Toto their state dog. Whenever someone thinks of actress Judy Garland, chances are they picture her standing there holding her little dog Toto and clicking the heels of her ruby red slippers together while wishing her way back to Kansas. If the state can get licensed to use the movie image of Dorothy and her dog, the boon to the tourist industry could be enough to give local residents the financial windfall to be able to not only buy The Wizard of Oz pets but to also take great care of them (despite the current economic recession). George Clooney ex girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis dating a Jackass?

Steve-O is really not that bad of a person — and even though he gets paid big money to act like one on TV, he really is not an idiot. He spends his quality time abusing himself, not other people. In fact, like Elisabetta Canalis, he is also a die-hard vegetarian. He actually walked out of a charity event for the American Diabetes Foundation because they served meat. He made a great point that them serving meat (instead of a healthy vegetarian alternative) was like serving alcohol at an AA meeting. [He’s right, actually. Pet friendly actress Mary Tyler Moore won SAG Lifetime Achievement Award

While living the life of a successful career girl, Mary Tyler Moore never forgot the importance of using her star power wisely. She advocated throughout her entire career to help causes for those suffering from or at risk of developing diabetes. She also worked her tail off, allowing animal rights activists to note that her tale of saving tails was truly inspiring. Some of her favorite charities and causes to volunteer for and donate to over the years have included Broadway Barks (a pet friendly charity she co-founded as a non-profit organization with actress Bernadette Peters) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
