George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis both pet friendly star celebs?

[Apr. 6]

There is no bachelor more eligible in the world than the currently taken Hollywood actor George Clooney. Presently the green celeb is dating an Italian bikini swimsuit model named Elisabetta Canalis, and while she seems to have more critics than friends in Italy for her outspoken antics on MTV’s TRL show (where she hosts) and penchant for dating soccer players, she’s slowly gaining popularity with Americans and some Europeans after landing a relationship with the famous movie star.

George Clooney owns a private estate in Lake Como, Italy where he and the Italian beauty first met. She apparently has a place across the lake and some tabloid gossip reports say when George Clooney first saw Elisabetta Canalis and realized she was already a public figure in Italy, he was smitten.

Why?

Well, besides the fact that the young lady has a fabulous bum that must stop traffic whenever she walks down the street and undoubtedly impresses beach goers every time she strolls down the sand on any continent’s azure coast and sandy shores, the two seem to have some very curious traits in common.

First, George Clooney was rumored to be infatuated with all things Italian long before he met Elisabetta Canalis. Gossip sources say he was obsessed with finding an Italian paramour who could travel with him around Italy and live with him at his home to teach him the language. Elisabetta was just that — and hoping to improve her English-speaking skills so she could star in Hollywood movie and television series some day. The natural relationship that formed between the two over the lack of commonality of language was, for that reason, a win win for the celebrity couple.

Second, Elisabetta Canalis came along at a time when George Clooney was not only involved in advocating to end the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, but also when he was about to head out to meet and greet all his Hollywood celebrity friends to ask them for money to help Haiti. Before the earthquake struck, Clooney was in need of a stunning date to take with him to the red carpet and high fashion events that were related to the heavy fall movie premiere launches for a slew of films, giving her plenty of flash camera time — but Canalis place as George Clooney’s sidekick seems to have come more behind the scenes where she played celebrity home hostess to all the Hollywood actors and actresses who came to vacation stay at George Clooney’s lakeside mansion on holiday. From the outside looking in, it appeared as if Clooney offered celebrity friends a get away perk to stay at his place for being good green celebs and chipping in to help his charity benefit causes; it also appeared as if Elisabetta played the hot tour guide, helping his English-speaking friends vacation out of the public eye while exploring historical Italy. That made her the perfect pretend housewife at just the right time George Clooney needed one the most, while offering her a chance to really make friends with the Hollywood elite that will undoubtedly help her along in her career even when she and Clooney inevitably part company.

Third, the two star celebs seem to have something else very curious in common. While they both have parenting natures (maternal for her and paternal for him), it is not in either of their short-term or long-range plans to have babies. That’s right — neither Elisabetta Canalis or George Clooney want kids. They both prefer to exercise their co-parenting skills taking care of family pets. George Clooney is famous as a green celebrity for being pet-friendly as the former proud papa of a huge Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, while Elisabetta Canalis says all her maternal instincts are kept in shape working out with her pet puppies. The model is a pet-friendly dog lover who also has spent considerable time advocating on behalf of animal rights charities. She claims she would rather have dogs than kids.

So, there you have it.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis are pet friendly humanitarians and green celebrities.

Tsunami Dog: Family pet found alive after being lost at sea for 3 weeks?

Japanese Tsunami Dog Rescue!

Family pet found alive after floating on debris alone for three weeks while lost at sea?

[Apr. 2]

When you think about charity after a natural disaster, typically the first thought that comes to mind is humanitarian aid. Among the hoards of green celebrities also assisting with tsunami and earthquake relief in Japan — rocker Katy Perry has donated proceeds from glowsticks she is selling on her current tour, Gwen Stefani and pet friendly Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock each have donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Japan. Hollywood stars who are able to donate large sums of money whenever a disaster strikes are heroes in their own right, but there are other types of hero figures the work can and should admire as well. For instance, the members of the Coast Guard and Red Cross rescuers have become green celebrities in their own rights, working tirelessly to find any survivors even though Japan has already survived the difficult three weeks since the devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck the island nation in March of 2011. And there are others — like the family pets who have been able to endure harsh conditions and to survive despite the loss of human companionship, care, or supervision. Like the Tsunami dog who was just rescued off the coast of Japan, where it has been floating alone on debris while trying to keep itself alive the past three weeks.

Celebrity Apprentice 2011: Who is David Cassidy and why is he famous?

Celebrity Apprentice 2011!

Who is David Cassidy and why is he famous?

[Mar. 16]

Green celebrity David Cassidy is best known for his role as Keith Partridge from the 1970s television show The Partridge Family. At his peak, he was the highest paid live performer of his time. He still occasionally sings songs from the show. Cassidy submitted a doodle for National Doodle Day in 2008 to raise awareness about the genetic disorder neurofibromatosis, which can lead to a host of disfigurements and other conditions. He was hoping to benefit the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation, but was fired in the first week of Celebrity Apprentice 4.

Radar Online reports:

In the end, the women’s team sold more pizza — $170,000 worth, and that was enough to make them the winning team. That meant the men lost, and among the guys, Cassidy brought in the least money; in fact, his big ‘get’ was a $1,000 order made by his own daughter, Gossip Girl actress Katie Cassidy.

Awww, David Cassidy, c’mon. Did you pay her to do it too? We know that you’re a green celebrity and friendly to the environment and people around you, but business is a little more cut-throat, you know?

Cassidy unfortunately was a little too soft for The Donald (Donald Trump) even though he didn’t earn the least amount of money for the pizzaria. [Jose Canseco earned nothing, though that may be less than “least”.] Green celebrity David Cassidy just couldn’t come to terms with the backstabbing that is inherent in big business (or with the other famed celebrities on Celebrity Apprentice 4). Donald Trump saw Cassidy as a liability in business, apparently, and gave him the axe. At least he had the distinction of being the first one fired.
