It seems news of Hollywood break-ups and divorce are dominating the headlines over the 2011 holidays. First, there was the divorce for Kim Kardashian, just before Thanksgiving, following a 72-day marriage to NBA star celeb Kris Humphries. Then came the post-Thanksgiving announcement from Chaz Bono, who tweeted a sweet but noncommittal separation from fiancee Jennifer Elia in the months following his big marriage proposal. What’s with the DWTS break-ups lately? Chaz Bono and former fiancee Jennifer Elia are no more. Chaz himself tweeted a confirmation that the couple had split but they retained respect and affection for one another. A publicist confirmed the sentiment as well and said nothing further would be discussed about the break-up. He asked that their privacy be respected. But the timing of the announcement the LGBT celebrity couple split seems suspiciously like an announcement made just before Halloween by Kim Kardashian and Elisabetta Canalis at Thanksgiving. George Clooney openly supporting gays and gay marriage (finally)?

The Wrap (an entertainment news website) reports Clooney will star in a one-night-only production of “8”. The theater production will happen at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3, 2012. Directed by Rob Reiner, all proceeds from the LGBT civil rights supporting event will go to the American Foundation for Equal Rights, of which Reiner and play writer Dustin Lance Black are founding members. The show “8” will be a rendition of the same production that ran in New York City in September of 2011. That production cast boasts other big name Hollywood star celebs like Morgan Freeman, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, and Christine Lahti. Keep reading…
