Hope Solo and Maks kicked off DWTS for bad attitudes?

All Hope is lost! Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were kicked off Dancing With The Stars on November 15th, 2011. While they made the semi-finals, they were not good enough to go all the way to compete for the DWTS Mirror Ball Trophy. Why did the Olympic athlete have such a hard time being a good sport? She started out with a bad attitude against Maks (her dance pro). Once they made up and started acting all lovey-dovey she turned that intimidating glare on the judges. Then, both she and Maks had some four letter words to share both with and for each judge who gave them low scores. What really happened there? Keep reading…

DWTS Karina Smirnoff fell, claims Ralph Macchio jinxed by Tom Bergeron?

[Apr. 26]

Karina Smirnoff and Karate Kid actor Ralph Macchio had an upset last night on Dancing with the Stars. Karina apparently tripped over Ralph’s coat during their Paso Doble routine to the tune of C & C Music Factory’s Everybody Dance Now (remember that one from the 80s?). They still earned a respectable score from the judges — 24 out of 30, but it still was low enough to put them in second to last place.

This of course is following Kirstie Alley’s wardrobe malfunction, when her shoe fell off, and another fall when Maksim Chmerkovskiy took partner Kirstie Alley down with him when his hip gave out. And we thought this was Spring, not Fall.

Karina Smirnoff helped sum it up for People:

While they earned a respectable 24 out of 30 points, tripping over Macchio’s coat “was disappointing, because it was such an awesome routine and Ralph was doing such an awesome job,” a dejected Smirnoff said backstage. “I think the floor is jinxed.”

And Kirstie Alley tells People:

“I think Tom Bergeron is the one making everyone fall,” Alley jokes, noting that the spot where so many have gone down is precisely where Dancing’s beloved host stands for most of the show. “If you look closely I think you will probably see the shenanigans he’s up to when we’re not on the dance floor. Always go for the nice guy. Always.”

Whatever the case, Karina Smirnoff and Ralph Macchio have been holding on tight, staying well up in the top contenders on Dancing with the Stars this season, so it will be interesting to see if this fall will put them out of the running, or if they’ll be able to hold on for another episode.

Karina Smirnoff is looking for your love and your votes. She went to Twitter: “Thank u all so much for ur kind words and support! It means a world to us! And thank u for believing in us! Love u.”
