Rumors are flying there is trouble in teen paradise that started because of a couple of female cougars. Take that, Katy Perry and Rihanna. Disney princess and green celebrity Selena Gomez just sent out a super pic of herself kissing a promotional poster of Justin Bieber as a gossip starting teaser. The actress and singer is about to make an appearance at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards and probably wanted to confirm whether or not the darling teen star celebs couple have broken up.
Did the pet friendly humanitarian teen who does so much volunteer work for the UNICEF charity post the pic as warning to preying cougars like the pop music divas mentioned above that the Biebs is her man — not a boy toy even if he is just a teenager? Or was she just trying to get people excited about her own music tour and the annual kids favorites award show?

Her latest tweet on Saturday August 6th, 2011 proclaimed, “Day off in L.A. today, Teen Choice Awards tomorrow!! Then back to #WeOwnTheNight Tour.” It was too bad that the 140 character limit did not allow her to clarify if she and the Biebs are still officially together.
While Selena and Justin have only recently gone public with their teen romance, the celebrity couple has a lot of support from celeb gossip reporters to enjoy their love affair while the two are both young and able to enjoy all of it. Even blogger Paris Hilton was somewhat shocked at how cute he thought Gomez was by sending out the kiss and tell photograph.
But was the kiss shared in public for personal or professional reasons?
Selena Gomez kissed a poster of her famous boyfriend while she was shopping at a local mall. While the picture was part of a display for his new celebrity endorsement of the perfume Someday, her sharing it on the web with her fans was meant to address a situation affecting their lives behind the scenes right now — Teen Choice Awards on the horizon or not.
The drama around the celebrity teen romance started with singer Rihanna not so innocently posting a photo of herself sharing some cute kissy-face love moment with a giant wall poster of the Biebs. While she meant it to be a silly compliment, the cougar chatter started about the women in Hollywood who were interested in the successful teen. What followed was an overt flirtation from pop star Rihanna.
When the tabloid gossip went wild claiming the Biebs was caught kissing Rihanna it had to be hard on Selena Gomez. Making matters worse, Katy Perry planting a big fat kiss on the cheek of a happy Biebs also had people talking about his appeal to older women. Mix in jokes by Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live about being in lust with the teen idol, and you have yourself a volatile mix of cougar gossip that could certainly un-nerve even the prettiest of teen starlet girlfriends.
What must have been harder for Selena was her cute boyfriend’s response to the fashion diva Rihanna — one that essentially let her know that he would be wide open to fooling around any time (with no mention of his emotional attachment to Selena).
That is why the Selena Gomez kissing Justin Bieber poster in public photo posted on the Perez Hilton blog in the days before the Teen Choice Awards to quell celebrity break up rumors was both adorable and revealing in the same fell swoop.
Cougars and wishful thinking fans of the celebrity teen be warned. The Biebs heart — at least for now — belongs to the adorable Disney princess. That is, unless they have broken up. If that happens, it is not likely they will be spotted kissing in public they way they have been engaged in PDA to help promote eachother’s careers these past few months.
