Madonna Super Bowl half time show shows she is a good sport (#SuperBowl)

Guess I’m getting old, just like my favorite rock stars. More pop than rock, but getting old none the less, Madonna was the musical show at this year’s Super Bowl. Generally speaking the reviews of the half time show has been pretty mixed across social media. To those who speak negatively of the 53 year pop star, we say, chill out, and get a life. For all that is expected, she did quite well. An over choreographed performance of a long career squeezed into 15 minutes. And to top it off she had to share the stage with some of today’s modern stars like rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., and crazy party song group LMFAO. Keep reading…

PETA mad Toto from The Wizard of Oz might be state dog of Kansas?

PETA (the non-profit organization that crusades for animal rights) is opposed to Kansas making Toto their state dog. Whenever someone thinks of actress Judy Garland, chances are they picture her standing there holding her little dog Toto and clicking the heels of her ruby red slippers together while wishing her way back to Kansas. If the state can get licensed to use the movie image of Dorothy and her dog, the boon to the tourist industry could be enough to give local residents the financial windfall to be able to not only buy The Wizard of Oz pets but to also take great care of them (despite the current economic recession). Star celebs who have helped them raise money represent both liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans. Celebrity supporters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation include Ellen Degeneres, George W. Bush, Neil Patrick Harris, Mimi Rogers, Christie Brinkley. Cynthia Nixon Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Jennifer Tilly, Vanessa Hudgens, Laura Bush, and Ann Curry. For that reason, wouldn’t it make sense that the people they put in charge be able to steer a neutral course politically while promoting the health of women?
