Celebrity athlete Mike Tyson inspires Hollywood star celebs to go vegan

Green celebrity actor and producer Alan Cumming, already known for his support of global health concerns through work with charities like American Foundation for AIDS Research, the Global Fund, and Stand Up to Cancer, has made a New Year’s Resolution to go completely vegan in 2012. He credits his decision to former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson. Believe it or not, Mike Tyson, with his violent past, has been a vegan since 2010, in spite of criticism that he wouldn’t stick with it. Hope Solo and Maks kicked off DWTS for bad attitudes?

All Hope is lost! Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were kicked off Dancing With The Stars on November 15th, 2011. While they made the semi-finals, they were not good enough to go all the way to compete for the DWTS Mirror Ball Trophy. Why did the Olympic athlete have such a hard time being a good sport? She started out with a bad attitude against Maks (her dance pro). Once they made up and started acting all lovey-dovey she turned that intimidating glare on the judges. Green Racing: Charitable Indy 500 champion dies in fiery crash

In the days before his death, Indy car racer Dan Wheldon participated in a fund raiser that netted over $40,000 for charity. Now, his sports memorabilia is being auctioned off to help raise money for his own family. INDYCAR, the governing body of the auto racing series where the young driver competed, has been working with GreenFuel Technologies to improve the energy consumption of the cars, to make them more environmentally friendly.
