Can tweeting about binge drinking ever be a good thing for a celebrity?

[Jun. 25]

Samantha Ronson, a celebrity who is admittedly a hard-core lesbian, has been a very vocal LGBT activist for years — which in and of itself is a great thing. The trouble is, as a night club DJ she is also very much into partying and seems to show only a big smile on her face when it comes to talking about parties, partying, and living the high life in Hollywood social circles with ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan and gal pals like Juliette Lewis. On July 25th, 2011 Samantha Ronson tweeted the following via her verified celebrity account on Twitter @samantharonson, saying “Yup….. My head is gonna hurt tomorrow, but we all know it’s worth it! @chateauLV and #hennyblack http://say.ly/zUhrIq”. That’s bad, right? Not exactly. Rumor is that pet-friendly Sam donates all her celebrity tweet money to a variety of charities. To that end, she’s on our list of green celebrities to watch and give props to when she does good things for her community.

Comedian Dave Chappelle denying reports he will return to TV?

[Jun. 16]

Celebrity Stoner Dave Chappelle who famously walked away from his hit television show on Comedy Central is denying a June 15th media news report that claimed the star celeb is planning to make a comeback career move with a return to television. The online gossip tabloid called, “The Daily wrote the former Comedy Central star was plotting to reboot his TV career by making a deal with a subscription service like Hulu or Netflix that would allow him a strong amount of creative control…” shared EW — a leading entertainment news journal. Their reporters contacted Dave Chappelle’s PR people to verify the breaking news report and got a disappointing laugh. “Absolutely untrue,” was the official word from Chappelle’s rep Carla Sims. Her denial of the rumors famous Dave — the conspicuously pro-marijuana activist — came circa June 16. More happy news about the actor and comic was that despite the fact that there will likely not be another new Chapelle show series or episode airing on Comedy Central any time soon was that Chappelle will continue to do live stand up comedy.
