National Museum of the American Indian Hosts Environmental Film Festival

Environmental Film Festival!

National Museum of the American Indian Hosts Environmental Film Festival —

[Mar. 13]

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian is one of the most interesting museums in downtown Washington, DC — and a pioneer cultural center that works to emphasize a lifestyle that is green. The museum staff will be hosting filmmakers Zacharias Kunuk and Ian Mauro for the U.S. première of Qapirangajuq: Inuit Knowledge and Climate Change—the world’s first Inuktitut-language documentary on the topic— Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. in the circular museum’s Rasmuson Theater.

According to museum workers, “this groundbreaking documentary captures the voices of those who are often overlooked in the discussion on climate change: the indigenous communities that are disproportionately affected by it. Inuit elders recall observations and customs passed down through centuries of storytelling and how their traditional ways of life are threatened by a warming Arctic. Their insight challenges mainstream accounts and reveals why climate change has become a human-rights issue for Native people.”

The new movie screening will be broadcast simultaneously online at www.isuma.tv, an independent network of Native and Inuit media, and at AmericanIndian.si.edu/webcasts. Film makes will be online and available to answer viewers questions.

Tsunami threatens Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner?

Environmental News!

Twilight stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart have been evacuated from the Vancouver Island resort town of Tofino due to a Tsunami tidal wave threatening to flood coastal beaches —

[Mar. 12]

Actor Taylor Lautner, actress Kristen Stewart, and a number of cast-members from the soon-to-be-released new ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’ movie have been evacuated following a local tsunami warning, reports People Magazine.

Cozy, eh?

According to Contact Music, “The devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit Japan has resulted in a number of resorts such as Tofino and the islands of French Polynesia having to be evacuated. So far, a “mild tsunami” has raised waters several feet in the Queen Charlotte Islands north of Vancouver Island, but no real effects of the disastrous earthquake have been noticed.”

According to both celebrity gossip sources, the beaches around the resort town of Tofino are being used a backdrop for the upcoming ‘Twilight’ film and a number of the movie’s cast tweeted news of their safe passage and travels throughout the Tsunami evacuation.

The actress Tinsel Corey told followers, “They’re evacuating us 4 a tsumnani [sic] warning. If this . is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz” She later posted, “If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. And I’m thankful 4 everything I’ve been given”.

What the sources could not confirm was the whereabouts of actor Robert Pattinson. Contact Music shares, “Although two of the movie’s biggest stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were evacuated, it is not yet known whether Robert Pattinson was also filming on the island.”

Angelina Jolie Rumors: Who will replace Angie in next Tomb Raider movie?

Angelina Jolie Rumors!

Who will replace Angie in next Tomb Raider movie?

[Mar. 11]

The next installment of the action adventure chick flick Tomb Raider is due out in 2013, but rumors on the Hollywood gossip circuit seem to indcate that there might not even be a guest appearance by the film actress Angelina Jolie — with hints and allegations from celebrity gossip sources that Angelina Jolie might have walked away from the film when she heard she’d be playing the old [real age] version of herself and that she’d essentially be replaced by a younger version.

At first the rumors swirled that Megan Fox was number one on the replacement list, but since she’s gotten painfully thin while modeling underwear for Armani and was fired from TRANSFORMERS 3 for a mix of skinniness and bad attitude, the chit chat is calming.

New names popping up as possible replacements to star as a younger and more pert non-mommy version of Angelina Jolie include but are not limited to the following hot female celebrities in Hollywood (who all happen to be runway model pretty and brunette, by the way):

1. Super hot vegan television and movie star Olivia Wilde (the girl who plays the character 13 on the hit night-time television series HOUSE and who recently starred in the big screen movie TRON revamp with green celebrity actor Jeff Bridges
2. The stunning Mila Kunis who just kicked but in the Ballet psychological thriller BLACK SWAN and is in prime physical shape right now due to her strenuous celebrity health and fitness routine
3. Kristen Stewart’s name has been thrown around — mostly by the press who speculate she might consider doing a fun but physically demanding role once she wraps up the Twilight Saga BREAKING DAWN movie
4. Megan Fox (who most agree would be horrible cast in the series because while she is pretty, she’s got almost no charisma or personality when the camera is rolling if her mouth is moving)
