Selena Gomez, one of many in a line of Disney Princess starlets, has put the pretty pink princess caricature on trial. Gomez was on the Malibu Beach set for her latest music video, Love You Like a Love Song, with pink horses, and it has animal rights activists abuzz, reports PopEater. Namily, star celeb Pink herself has lashed out over Twitter, calling out the Disney Princess for animal cruelty.

Twitter has Pink saying on May 19, 2011:

If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame

Pink followed up on May 20 with comments confirming that she finally realized who was responsible for the Pink ponies and calling Selena Gomez to own up to her actions and take responsibility. She has called for Disney fans to lash out and express their anger at the Disney princess.

But representatives for Selena Gomez have assured that the horses were not harmed by the color change, and what Disney princess wouldn’t want a pink pony of her very own? Fan reactions largely have remained mixed, with some cheering Pink for speaking out and others dismissing the pinky pony stunt as silly but harmless.
