When she and Billy Bob Thornton hooked up and got married, Angelina Jolie got his name tattooed on her upper arm to proclaim to the world she was forever his. The star celebs seemed very much in love and were the odd celebrity couple of the day. With public displays of affection aplenty, Hollywood celebrity couples — for a brief flash in history — though the May – December romance was here to stay. But what happened to her famous BILLY BOB when the celebrity couple broke up and divorced? The trendy tatt became taboo in a big way and is covered up by something far more cool than a love tatt (or even partner Brad Pitt’s name today).
Angelina Jolie has to have extensive make up work done to cover the tattoo in her movie series Tomb Raider. There was only one scene where she was in and out of the water in a tight tank top that real Jolie fans could see the tattoo ink shadow underneath the arm makeup. When she and Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie split up, Angie has the tattoo covered with an Asian dragon. When that just did not seem to be enough, she went through the time and expense to have the tattoo changed again to geographic coordinates of where all six of her children were born — a much more touching love tatt thought with her new cover-up tattoo.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted shopping at a Mall in Namibia on Dec. 23, 2010 — and Brad Pitt was sporting a right hand wedding ring rather than new commemorative tattoo ink.
Other star celebs that have gotten famous love tatts include celebrity supermodel Heidi Klum, vegetarian celebrity Pamela Anderson, singer Christina Aguilera, and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.
