The famous humanitarians are not being to charitable towards one another, apparently. The pop music singer and the comedian allegedly spent the holidays apart and there is no sign yet from the rumor mills inside sources that claim there will be a New Years Eve kiss or fancy Hollywood New Years Eve party reunion to help the green celebs romance get back on track.

People is reporting that green celebrity rocker Katy Perry and humanitarian Russell Brand, who married in October 2010, are on the outs. They spent Christmas apart, as Katy Perry rushed off for sun and surf in Hawaii and was spotted without her wedding ring. Actor Russell Brand, who is a big supporter of the Free Tibet movement, stayed at his hometown in England and now also has been spotted without his wedding band. Katy sans Brand and Brand sans band. ABC News also announced she was subsequently spotted not wearing her wedding band, lending more credibility to the rumor mills gossip that the star celebs are taking (what fans hope will only amount to being) a romantic time out.
Sources have said the couple has been having “problems” for some time now, and the rumor mills have been working overtime, with gossip spreading that the couple has been contemplating divorce since November. Us Weekly reported earlier that a source close to the couple had said Katy and Russell were “dramatic and volatile” and that “the fighting is getting worse.” Supposedly a big blow-up between the two included some expletives tossed around before Christmas. Katy Perry was supposed to fly to England with her family to celebrate Christmas with her hubby. Then she decided to take off for Hawaii.
“They had a massive fight,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “She was like, ‘F–k you. I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine, f–k you too.'”
And it might not just be strong personalities clashing. Katy Perry (believe it or not) is unabashedly Christian [despite regularly appearing with giant cupcakes covering her tatas]. Insiders speculate that when it comes to talking about organized religion, Brand has most likely unabashedly acted like a disrespectful arse.
Many families celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, but at least as many, if not more, celebrate a spiritual Christmas. Usually people can come together around Christmastime and respect one another’s beliefs in the spirit [secular or otherwise] that the holiday should represent. But not always.

It would be a shame if the star celebs split and the charity benefits they supported together as a celebrity couple suffered in the process. Hearing on ABC news that both green celebrities have been spotted now without their wedding bands leaves fans with a sinking feeling in the pit of their stomach. Why?
