Celebrity Apprentice 2011!

Who is John Rich and why is he famous?

[Mar. 24]

John rich is a country singer known as the Stevie Wonder of Country Music. He played with Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams, Jr., Jake Owen, Rodney Atkins, and Rodney Watts for the Salute to the Troops concert in 2009 for soldiers and family of Fort Campbell, KY, an airborne division of which was returning to the Middle East. He’ll be sponsoring St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on this season of Celebrity Apprentice.

John Rich, who is a green celebrity intent on winning this season to benefit pediatric medicine, will be reuniting with Big Kenny of Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) fame this year, much to the delight of fans. Big Kenny is a heartfelt green celebrity as well, and the two are looking forward to getting back together for the 2011 Xtreme Musik tour this summer, according to TheBoot.

The site also reports:

It’s been three years since the ‘Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)’ duo went on hiatus, while Big Kenny (Alphin) recovered from a pre-existing neck injury. Between then and now, John released a solo project, 2009’s ‘Son of a Preacher Man,’ which produced the Top 15 hit, ‘Shuttin’ Detroit Down.’

John Rich is no stranger to reality television either. He has hosted three seasons of Gone Country, which hosts Nashville songwriters with their aspiring counterparts. He also appeared as a judge on the 2008 season of Nashville Star, also on NBC with Celebrity Apprentice.

John Rich got off to a good start on the first episode of the fourth season of Celebrity Apprentice, raising the most money for his team’s foray into business. Even though the ladies’ team managed to sell more pizza, green celebrity John Rich is putting up a strong fight. In particular, he and Richard Hatch (who won’t be appearing on the season finale while he serves another prison sentence for failing to pay the IRS from Survivor winnings) are not seeing eye to eye.

Nor is Jose Canseco seeing eye to eye with Hatch. John Rich said, “I’m going to tell you right now, if Trump would have let Jose get away with just knocking Richard’s head off, he absolutely would have done it! There was nothing made up about that at all.”

Donald Trump hasn’t let it come to blows just yet, but John Rich and Jose Canseco and Richard Hatch may heat up this season of Celebrity Apprentice more than anticipated. It has been billed the most tame season to date. Hopefully these green celebrities will recognize that whatever charity benefits, it’s all for a good cause.

The third episode of Celebrity Apprentice 4 will air on March 20, 2011, at 9 p.m., on NBC.
