Barack Obama speaks about his kids for Fathers Day in green celebrity interview?
[Jun. 17]
Green celebrity president Barack Obama is an advocate for change — except when it comes to his kids. The celebrity dad would like nothing more that to see his young daughters Sasha and Malia to remain young children forever. However, bring the understanding parent he is, Barack knows his little girls are rapidly becoming lovely young ladies. His goal in life as parent first and President of the United States second is to make sure the girls grow up safe, loved, and with the best things both he (as their father) and Michelle Obama (as their celebrity mother) can provide them. Digital Spy shared the news about Barack Obama giving his Fathers Day celebrity interview on June 18th, 2011 television. They wrote, “The US President appeared on Good Morning America on Friday, where he spoke to anchor Robin Roberts about fatherhood and his feelings about Sasha and Malia growing older in the White House. ” What did the leader of the free world have to say about being a parent of young women leaving their childhood behind to enter the tween and teen years as green celebrity kids being raised in the national capital White House? All nice things.
Barack Obama only shared the nicest quotes about his daughters, expressing no angst about their behavior. While he has been busy playing president and struggling to fix the economy while fighting an uphill battle to get all US citizens covered by healthcare, they have been dutiful presidential daughters — doing well in school and keeping up appearances for the First Family quite nicely.
Regarding the girls, Barack Obama had this to say:
“They’re smart, they’re funny, but most importantly, they’re kind, they’re respectful and they’re responsible,” Barack explained. “I could not ask for better kids. “I’m not anticipating complete mayhem for the next four or five years, but I understand teenage-hood is complicated. I should also point out that I have men with guns that surround them often. A great incentive for running for re-election is that means they’ll never get in a car with a boy who had a beer. And that’s a pretty good thing.”

GREEN CELEBRITY STATS: BARACK OBAMA
President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama are both considered green celebrities. As a human rights advocate, Barack has lobbied tirelessly to help provide healthcare to the uninsured citizens of the United States. As a Nobel Peace Prize winner, he took criticism for his role in fighting to eradicate violence in the Middle East. At home, his wife Michelle has been busy advocating against childhood obesity. The Obama family tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but the president admits he has had a very tough time quitting smoking — something he never does around his wife or kids, as he knows second-hand smoke can be even more unhealthy for them that the puffs he is taking. Barack Obama has joined former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton in helping support the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (a bi-partisan non-profit initiative that sends aid and relief to help the earthquake victims in Haiti). He is also good friends with green celebrity actor George Clooney and the two meet regularly to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. Barack Obama is also a pet friendly celebrity — proud pet papa to a Portuguese Water Spaniel purebred dog named Bo Obama who is the sweetheart of the White House staff.
