Celebrity actress Anne Hathaway cast as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in Batman installment The Dark Knight Rises? –

Uberhot green celebrity actress Anne Hathaway has been confirmed to take on the role of Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the next installment in the Batman saga.
In addition, Warner Bros. also confirmed that the role of Bane would be played by celebrity actor Tom Hardy, who producer and director Christopher Nolan feels will be the perfect villain for Batman.
It had been rumored that green celebrity actress Anne Hathaway would indeed get the role of Catwoman, once played by celebrity actress Michelle Pfeifer in Batman Returns in 1992. Catwoman in the past has been both a villain and a love interest for Batman, and no details as to whether Anne Hathaway will snuggle up to Christian Bale aka Batman/Bruce Wayne.
The role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman was first introduced in Batman #1 in 1940. Green celebrity actress Anne Hathaway, currently starring in the hit movie Love and Other Drugs and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Rachel Getting Married, figures to add a lively spark to The Dark Knight Rises, playing the spoil for Christian Bale’s Batman.

BURBANK, CA, January 19, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”
In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most fromidable enemies.”
Christopher Nolan will not only produce and direct The Dark Knight Rises, he also had a hand in writing the screenplay as well.
