RPatz warned to keep hands off Kristen Stewart, why?
[Mar. 8]
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be Hollywood’s hottest green celebrity couple these days, but that wasn’t always the case. When cast for the first Twilight film, Pattinson was warned away from an underage Kristen Stewart by Director Catherine Hardwicke, who has since left the series.
The chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was immediate, Hardwicke recalls. From the moment the two green celebrities read for the parts together, she knew Pattinson had to play the role of Edward for Twilight. And Stewart was just as emphatic about Pattinson playing the role.
From Monsters & Critics:
After the pair kissed on the director’s own bed during an audition, Stewart lobbied for Pattinson to land the role of Edward Cullen.
“Kristen felt connected to him from the first moment they were together. That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is,” Hardwicke told the US current affairs magazine. “She was like, ‘It has got to be Rob.'”
Of course, the time of the original Twilight is long past. We all know about the incredible chemistry by now, and according to reports, the two green celebrities will be getting very hot and heavy in Breaking Dawn, the first installment of which is scheduled for premier in May 2011. The character couple are no longer in high school, and the stars clearly are no longer worried about age or what they can do on screen.
But filming of the final installment in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn Part 2, is being delayed, sources say, because of severe weather in Vancouver, where filming is taking place. This means projects that the cast and crew members of the Twilight series may require rescheduling, but we’re assured that Breaking Dawn Part 2 will be complete for its scheduled premiere in November 2012.
According to GearLive.Com, Kristen Stewart is being considered for a starring role as Snow White, opposite Oscar nominee Viggo Mortinsen in a new film, Snow White and the Hutsman. If troubles continue in Vancouver, it could mean trouble for Kristen’s chances. The film’s producer, Palek Patel, really wants to have her. “Clearly, [Kristen Stewart] isn’t right for the upbeat, song-happy Disney version of the character, but this movie is going to be dark and gritty.”
In the meantime, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson both have returned to Los Angeles while they wait for the weather in Vancouver to improve before returning to film the rest of Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Green Celebrity stats:
Robert Pattinson may not be puckering up for anyone but Kristen Stewart these days, but in 2009, the green celebrity auctioned off two kisses for $20,000 at the Cannes Film Festival, for the Cinema Against AIDS gala for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. And green celebrity Kristen Stewart, who reportedly is being paid $25 million for Breaking Dawn is determined to help struggling young women with the money.
